In the early 1980’s, ‘Jhoole Lal’ Corporation was converted to the name of Mr. Veero Mal’s third son Ramesh Kumar as R.K. Commission Shop (Presently Active in the same location). Mr. Mal wanted his eldest son Mr. Gopal Khamuani to be involved in the business and look after this new trade office in the city of Hyderabad. Mr. Gopal Khamuani has the same true determination and committed in the business as his father. Mr. Mal died in the year 1992 and Mr. Gopal Khamuani demanded his younger brothers Mr. Devedas Khamuani and Mr. Ramesh Kumar Khamuani to join him and continue the legacy of business. After training his brothers and handing over the trading office to them; Mr. Gopal Khamuani left the trading office in 1998 to start exporting business in the city of Karachi.

In the year 2000, Mr. Gopal Khamuani founded Kanwal Trading on his eldest daughter’s name. Kanwal is a “Lotus Flower” which also represent in the company’s logo. In a very short time ‘Kanwal’ become a trusted and quality supplier name in the industry.

In the year 2004, ‘Kanwal’ inaugurated their first Procurement and Processing Unit of Pulses Cleaning and Splitting for Export purpose followed by Cleaning Units for Spices, Yellow Maize and Beans. In the year 2008, Sesame Seeds Cleaning, Sortex and Hulling Units were set up followed by Rice Silky and Sortex Units. The facilities are certified with Food Safety Management Systems of HACCP, ISO22000, ISO9001 and ISO14001.

In the year 2005, business demanded diversification not only into different products but also different industry so Mr. Gopal Khamuani introduce his fourth brother Mr. Chander Pal Khamuani with Property and Real Estate sector and make him establish the entity in the same office premises.

Mr. Om Parkash Khamuani youngest brother of Mr. Gopal Khamuani joined the family business in the year 2009 after his graduation.

In the year 2012, the family business opened their first overseas branch office in Singapore ‘Kanwal Agro Commodities Pte Ltd’ for international trade and agent business.

In the year 2014, Kanwal Trading Company converted from Sole Proprietorship to Private Limited business firm.

After graduation in the year of 2016 Mr. Gopal Khamuani’s sons Mr. Rakesh Pal Khamuani and Mr. Mukesh Pal Khamuani joined the family business and were appointed officially to work with the same vision and mission which their grandfather has about decades ago.

In the year 2017, ‘V M Builders & Developers’ was introduced under the name of Mr. Veeru Mal as a partnership firm between Mr. Devedas Khamauni and Mr. Chander Pal Khamauni for the construction and development business. Mr. Gopal Khamuani always had a vision of developing a community-based Housing Scheme currently named and working as ‘Mother Village Housing Scheme.’

In the year 2022, the company opened their second branch office in the United Kingdom ‘Kanwal Trading (UK) Limited’ for international trade and agent business. Mr. Rakesh Pal Khamuani was appointed as a Senior Representative to be completely responsible for the branch office.
